Büttni on TV
Two days before my birthday I was was invited by TV presenters Joyce Grech and Johann Galea to watch a new movie in cinema (I watched 'Downfall' - Der Untergang) and then tell them and the watchers of famous Maltese TV show 'Skrin' (being aired on Channel Education 22) live about my impressions of the film.
I took the opportunity and had a look behind the scenes of 'Skrin'.
One hour prior to the start of the show I arrived at the studio. At that time the decoration was already in place. Presenters and guests were getting their make-up and the rest of the crew (director, producer, assistants, cameraman, camerawoman, etc.) got the final preparations done, which includes light rehearsals, microphone checks and camera settings.
Due to some delays in the running programme the "on Air" sign was switched on about ten minutes behind schedule, ataround 9:25pm on 2nd March 2006. But then the show started and new movies like 'Walk The Line' or 'Downfall' were promoted. Besides this also other cine related news were presented. The show also featured a comic-strip artist (one of the very few in Malta) who draw comics in the studio as well as a representative from the Malta College of Arts, Science & Technology who reported about new courses that the college is offering.
During the last quarter of the show I gave my report about the movie 'Downfall' (Der Untergang) which I had watched earlier.
Shortly before half past ten all was over. Not even 30 minutes later the decoration of 'Skrin' was already stowed away and the people involved in the show (all work in the education sector) had left the studio.
I would like to thank the crew of 'Skrin', but especially Joyce and Johann, for inviting me and giving me the opportunity to make some new experience.
